What you'll do

  • You will lead the development and implementation of group‑wide health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards as well as machine safety programs across multiple countries, supporting the Regional and local HSE Leaders in building a strong safety culture and significantly improving safety performance

  • In collaboration with the engineering, maintenance, and operations departments, you will identify machine risks, support the implementation of safeguarding measures and ensure safe commissioning and change management

  • You translate global HSE requirements into site‑level procedures and training modules, ensuring that leaders and field teams understand and apply them effectively

  • Measurable, sustainable improvement is ensured through performance monitoring (with lagging & leading indicators), analyzing incident and risk data, and then executing targeted corrective and preventive actions

  • Through audits and on-site visits, you will support investigations, facilitate root cause analyses, and promote the sharing of best practices to strengthen safety performance across all regions

Who you are

  • You possess a degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or process) and have a strong technical understanding of machine safety and applicable regulations, ideally complemented by a NEBOSH, OSHA or an equivalent safety certification

  • With your international HSE management experience in heavy industrial environments, you have successfully contributed to rolling out standards across multiple countries or regions

  • You are comfortable operating in a matrix organization and collaborate effectively with central expert teams, regional HSE leaders, and operational stakeholders

  • Clear and constructive communication is used to influence stakeholders and engage both leaders and field teams in practical, risk-based decision-making, supported by an analytical and structured approach to interpreting risk data

  • You are fluent in English and willing to travel internationally (approximately 50% of the time) and ideally have additional language skills that support cross‑regional collaboration
