Who we are: Vistec Electron Beam GmbH, a world leader in the design and manufacture of electron beam lithography systems based in Jena, Germany, has an immediate opening for an exceptional Field Service & Application Engineer in North America.

About the Job: The position is based in Dallas, TX and will consist of providing technical service and application support for Vistec’s shaped beam lithography equipment throughout North America.

Responsibilities include:

• Participate in installations and provide preventive maintenance as well as repair service for Electron Beam Lithography Systems
• Support the customers with regard to E-Beam applications and help to improve the interaction between the customer’s process and the exposure tool
• Communicate and manage the exchange of application experiences between customers and Vistec
• Analysis of technical and methodical E-Beam technology improvements
• Preparation, organization and execution of customer and internal training
• Elaboration and permanent improvement of internal and external documents with regard to service & application tasks
• Working in a multinational environment
• Passport and international travel to the factory in Germany for meetings and training
• Willingness to travel throughout North America

Desired Qualifications:

• 3 years of hands-on experience servicing and supporting complex capital equipment
• Knowledge of electron-optics, vacuum systems, control electronics, and software
• Engineering degree in a technical major (Physics, EE, etc.)
• Knowledge and experience in the field of semiconductors and e-beam lithography desirable
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated and dynamic personality
