Postdoc (m/f/d) for automated polymer research at HIPOLE Jena
Your Tasks
- Synthesis of polymers and materials using automated / robotic synthesis platforms for applications in energy storage and conversion devices.
- Establishment of online and inline characterization of materials and polymers in terms of chemical structure (e.g., NMR, IR, SEC) and functional properties (e.g., cyclovoltammetry).
- Development of feedback-driven synthesis including the design of self-driving labs for the autonomous design of new polymers and materials for energy storage and conversion.
- Summary, presentation, and publication of the results (in English).
- PhD in polymer chemistry, automated chemistry, robot-assisted chemistry, electrochemistry, or a related field
- Extensive experience in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and/or robot-based/automated chemistry
- Good programming skills, e.g., Python
- Very good written and spoken English skills
