As a Senior Windows Systems & Virtualization Engineer at Warmwind, you will pioneer the integration of native Windows applications into our AI operating system.
By building the execution layer that bridges Warmwind OS with Windows environments, you’ll enable our AI agents to seamlessly operate desktop and enterprise software—expanding the universality of our product beyond the web.
Your work will directly shape how Warmwind interacts with the Windows ecosystem, from automating legacy desktop applications to orchestrating entire remote sessions.
With deep expertise in Windows internals and virtualization, you will architect and implement the foundations that allow Warmwind to run, manage, and control Windows applications as naturally as it does with web applications.
Tasks

Design and implement the Windows execution layer for Warmwind OS, enabling seamless automation of Windows applications.

Develop reliable pipelines for remote desktop streaming, screen capture, input injection, and clipboard/file synchronization.

Build virtualization and orchestration infrastructure for managing Windows Server/VM environments at scale.

Integrate Windows automation frameworks (Win32 APIs, UI Automation, PowerShell, etc.) into Warmwind’s action model.

Collaborate with AI and systems engineers to ensure cross-platform workflows (Linux ↔ Windows) run smoothly.

Maintain security, stability, and compliance for multi-tenant Windows workloads.
Requirements
Must-haves
-
Deep expertise in Windows internals, including Win32 APIs, COM, WMI, and system-level automation.

Strong experience with Remote Desktop technologies (RDP, FreeRDP, Guacamole, etc.) and Windows Server administration.

Proven track record in virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware, KVM with Windows guests).

Hands-on experience with screen capturing, input injection, and clipboard synchronization

Strong background in systems programming (C/C++, Rust, or .NET).

Ability to design secure and scalable architectures for managing multiple Windows sessions.

Willingness to relocate to Jena, Germany, after an initial onboarding period and work on-site.
Nice-to-haves

Experience with Linux ↔ Windows interop and cloud deployment environments.

Familiarity with AI-driven automation or agent frameworks.
