Description
As Lead Scheduling & Controlling Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, management, and optimization of project schedules and controls for complex EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) power plant projects. You will work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery. This role requires deep expertise in Primavera P6, construction site and execution experience, and strong leadership in project controls.

Your Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed project schedules for EPC power plant projects using Primavera P6, integrating all project phases
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations, implement corrective actions, and lead schedule risk analysis, scenario planning, and forecasting
- Coordinate with project managers, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure schedule alignment and support project controls, cost tracking, and change management
- Prepare and present schedule reports, KPIs, and dashboards for management and stakeholders; support claims management and delay analysis
- Mentor and support junior scheduling and project controls staff, interface with customers, contractors, and suppliers, and participate in site activities and execution reviews
- Ensure compliance with project management standards, methodologies, and contractual requirements
Your Profile:
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (BSc, MSc, Dipl.-Ing., or equivalent)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in project scheduling and controls for EPC projects, preferably in power plant or industrial construction
- Proven expertise in Primavera P6 (mandatory); experience with other scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, TILOS) is an advantage
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2) required
- Strong construction site and execution experience
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Fluent in German and English (business level)
- Proficiency with project controls and scheduling software; experience with claims, delay analysis, and change management
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; high attention to detail and quality
