Research Assistant (m/f/d)
Your task
You will work on the experimental and simulated description of fiber-reinforced plastic composites (FRP) at the material and component level. Your particular focus in this area will be on characterizing the material properties of fiber-reinforced plastic composites, especially when these are reinforced with additional structures. The aim here is to deepen the understanding of the materials and methods involved.
You will have access to a unique range of testing machines and measurement technology, enabling you to effectively develop important experimental results in the above-mentioned areas. You will join a dedicated team of scientific and technical staff and will complement this team in an important position. In this team, you will deal with interesting scientific fundamentals on the one hand, but also work very closely with industrial partners on current issues in this field.
There is the possibility of pursuing a doctorate.
Your profile
- High motivation, initiative, ability to work in a team, and independent working style
- Communication and organizational skills
- Above-average university degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or comparable disciplines
- In-depth knowledge of polymer composites and hybrid material systems
- Expertise in testing technology, including interpretation of results
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
