Beschreibung
- Characterize microstructures and dislocation structure of advanced alloys for high-temperature applications using SEM and TEM
- Prepare micro-specimens (e.g., micro-pillars, micro-cantilevers) using FIB
- Analyze deformation and fracture mechanisms by correlating micro-mechanical tests with microstructural and defect analysis
- Collaborate with partners for APT analysis of elemental segregation at defects
- Process and interpret experimental data using Python-based workflows
- Publish research results and present at international conferences
Persönliche Qualifikation
- Excellent academic record and a Master’s degree in materials science, mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field
- Experience with structural characterization of crystalline materials, preferably using SEM, TEM, or related electron-microscopy techniques
- A reliable and independent working style, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in German is an advantage but not mandatory
