Assistant to the Artistic Director of documenta 16 (m/f/d)
The documenta and Museum Fridericianum gGmbH is a non-profit organization supported by the City of Kassel and the State of Hesse as shareholders. Its responsibilities include the documenta exhibition, which takes place every five years, the Fridericianum, the documenta archive, and the documenta hall.
documenta and Museum Fridericianum gGmbH is looking for an innovative and responsible individual who is passionate about contemporary art and has sound organizational skills as well as practical and methodological expertise.
Your tasks will include:
Supporting and coordinating the work of the artistic director
Research
Calendar management, scheduling, and organization
Preparing meetings
Planning and organizing trips
Your profile
Completed education, university degree desirable
Several years of professional experience in the field, ideally in a cultural organization; experience in theater is welcome
Interest in and knowledge of the contemporary art and culture scene
Careful, reliable, independent, and team-oriented way of working
Very good written and spoken German and English
Social, communicative, and intercultural skills, creativity, resilience, and perseverance

We offer you an interesting and responsible position in an internationally active team in the arts and culture sector. You will receive a salary commensurate with your qualifications. Your weekly working hours are 40 hours. The place of work is Kassel. This is a temporary position until December 31, 2027.
