Coordinator for Production and Technology (m/f/d)

documenta und Museum Fridericianum gGmbH is a non-profit organization that is supported and financed by the City of Kassel and the State of Hesse as shareholders, and is also financially supported by the German Federal Cultural Foundation. The non-profit GmbH is responsible for the documenta exhibition, which takes place every five years, the Fridericianum, the documenta archiv, which is being developed into the documenta Institute, and the documenta Halle.

We are looking for a well-structured and responsible person who would like to become part of the documenta team, starting on 01.04.2026 .

Your tasks:

- Collaboration in the project management of exhibition projects

- Assistance with budgeting

- Collaboration in cost tracking and cost control

- Assisting with the technical preparation, planning, installation and support of exhibition projects

- Assisting with the tendering, awarding and invoicing of services in connection with exhibition production

- Assisting with the management of external service providers in the technical area

Your profile:

- Very good knowledge of processes in the production of contemporary exhibitions

- Very good knowledge of written and spoken German and English (according to B2 CEFR)

- Experience in managing large budgets

- Confident handling of common IT programs (e.g. CAD, 3D modeling, databases, MS Office, MS Project)

- Affinity for technology and interest in current discourses in contemporary art

- Initiative, ability to work in a team and strong communication skills

- Ability to work under pressure and organizational talent

- Enjoy working in an international environment

- Solution-oriented, structured way of working

We offer you an interesting and responsible position in an internationally active team in the arts and culture sector.

This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week, which is limited until 31.12.2027.

The place of work is Kassel.
