Job Description
As part of our international internship program, you will gain hands‑on experience in automation and smart manufacturing at our Kitzingen site, complemented by short business trips to Egypt or Morocco depending on your project assignment. You will support the development and rollout of automated inner‑plant material flow and material‑handling solutions for two new LEONI greenfield locations.
Based in Kitzingen, you will collaborate with our global production management teams, contribute to key planning activities, and assist in validating and preparing automation concepts for implementation in our upcoming plants in Badr (Egypt) and Berechid (Morocco).
- Support the elaboration of overall automation concepts for new production sites in North Africa
- Contribute to the release of automation solutions with a strong focus on material‑handling processes
- Support supplier selection, evaluation, and negotiation activities
- Assist in identifying suitable technical solutions together with suppliers and conduct internal assessments and comparisons
- Discuss, exchange, and collaborate closely with technical experts, concept engineers, and both central and country project leads
- Run regular status follow‑ups, summarize results, and prepare decision‑making documents
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Experience
- You are currently enrolled at a German university
- You are pursuing a degree in a technical or engineering‑related field (e.g. Automation, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar)
- You bring a general technical understanding, ideally related to automotive or automation
- You are familiar with material flow analysis tools and methods
- You have first insights into factory or production planning tools and methods
- You work in a structured and analytical way and bring a project‑management mindset
- You are able to conduct cost/benefit evaluations to support investment decisions
- You have strong MS Office skills
- You have working proficiency in both Mandarin and English
