- You build and lead a cross-functional security engineering team in which security engineers and product-focused security owners (security champions) live a modern, delivery-oriented security culture.
- You ensure that each of our core products has a clearly defined security owner and that security backlogs are transparently planned, prioritized, and consistently executed in Jira.
- You own end-to-end security backlog management across all products – from consolidating findings from audits, tools, and external reports to clean ticket creation in the respective product Jira projects.
- You steer a Kanban-based workflow for the central security team and drive cross-product improvements such as reusable patterns, templates, and refactorings.
- You work closely with Product Owners, Tech Leads, Engineering Management, and our Information Security Manager, report regularly to management, and make security progress, risks, and capacity needs measurable and visible.
- More than 5 years of experience in software development, application security, or a comparable technical field, including at least 2–3 years in a lead role (e.g. team lead, tech lead, project lead) with responsibility across multiple teams or products.
- A successfully completed degree in computer science, IT security, software engineering, or a comparable STEM field – ideally with excellent academic results.
- Solid hands-on experience with Jira (or similar ALM tools) including backlogs, boards, workflows, labels/components, and reporting, as well as strong familiarity with modern development practices (e.g. Kanban, CI/CD, secure SDLC) and common security tools.
- Fluent German and English skills, spoken and written, with confidence communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- A highly structured, organized, and pragmatic personality with strong communication skills, sound decision-making under uncertainty, and the ability to influence, build trust, and drive change without relying on formal authority.
