In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your role and responsibilities
Als Architect in der IBM Consulting übernimmst du eine führende Rolle bei der Definition und Implementierung von Lösungen für unsere Kunden. Du bist der zentrale Advocate für den Kunden und begleitest gleichzeitig das technische Team bis hin zur erfolgreichen Umsetzung.
Du arbeitest eng mit Stakeholdern auf Kundenseite sowie mit internen Partnern zusammen, um das geschäftliche Problem, Anforderungen, Systemrestriktionen sowie die unterschiedlichen Perspektiven der Stakeholder zu verstehen. Auf dieser Basis transformierst du komplexe Anforderungen systematisch in detaillierte Lösungen (Architekturen) für den Kunden.
Als Solution Architect mit Fokus auf Data Platforms hast du dich auf das Design von End-to-End Big Data Lösungen über verschiedene Plattformen hinweg spezialisiert und verfügst über umfassende Erfahrung im Management großer Datenbestände (im Terabyte-Bereich oder darüber hinaus).
Du bringst ein tiefes Verständnis für Industry Standards, Best Practices sowie den Hadoop Framework Stack mit, inklusive Ecosystem, MapReduce und Data on Containers (Daten auf OpenShift). In dieser Rolle entwickelst du maßgeschneiderte Datenlösungen für unsere Kunden, indem du Cloud- und klassische Datenplattform-Angebote kombinierst.
Du verantwortest zudem die Architektur von Datenplattform- und Cognitive-Komponenten, einschließlich Technologien für unstrukturierte Daten, Annotation sowie angrenzender Data & Analytics Themen.
Du hast Erfahrung mit Cloud-Native Plattformen wie AWS, Azure, Google Cloud oder IBM Cloud sowie mit Cloud-nativen Datenplattformen wie Snowflake.

Required education
Required technical and professional expertise
- Deutsch (mindestens C1) und Englisch auf kommunikativer Ebene
- Solide Grundlagen in Computer Science im Zusammenhang mit Big Data Lösungen sowie mindestens 8 Jahre nachgewiesene Erfahrung als Data Architect
- Erfahrung in der fachlichen und technischen Leitung von Projektteams sowie starke kundenorientierte und beratende Fähigkeiten zur Gestaltung datengetriebener Transformationsstrategien
- Starke Fähigkeit, moderne Data Lakehouse-Architekturen und -Ansätze zu entwerfen sowie unternehmensweite Datenplattform- und IT-Systemlandschaften zu designen
- Erfahrung mit Legacy-Plattformen wie Oracle, Teradata und/oder dem Hadoop Framework und Ecosystem inkl. Data on Containers (z. B. OpenShift), insbesondere in Datenmigration- und Transformationsszenarien
- Erfahrung mit mindestens zwei Cloud-nativen Plattformen (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud oder IBM Cloud) sowie tiefgehende Kenntnisse in der Analyse, dem Design und der Implementierung von (Hybrid-)Multi-Cloud Datenplattformen
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse im Data Modeling (z. B. Data Vault, Snowflake Schema, Star Schema)
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Zertifizierungen als Solution Architect bei mindestens zwei Cloud-Anbietern
- Kenntnisse in den Bereichen Data Security sowie GDPR-relevanten Themen
- Erfahrung mit Databricks und/oder Snowflake ist von Vorteil
- Erfahrung in der Integration von SAP-Daten (z. B. SAP Datasphere oder SNP Glue) ist wünschenswert
- Kenntnisse im Bereich Data Governance sind von Vorteil
