Job purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems (PDS) is currently looking for skilled, results driven individual to join our Krakow Technical Center as a Working Student in SIL Development team.
In this role, you will support building and maintaining a Software-in-the-Loop simulation environment used for virtual validation of embedded software stacks based on the AUTOSAR architecture, enabling early-stage integration and continuous development of automotive systems.
Key responsibilities
- Help developing and integrating virtual ECUs for SIL environment, based on AUTOSAR architecture
- Assist in building interfaces between the SIL environment and plant models, communication buses, and test automation tools
- Support analysing and debugging SIL infrastructure issues
- Document architecture, workflows, and usage guidelines for internal teams
What we are looking for
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field
- Basic C programming skills
- Introductory knowledge of embedded systems
- Good communication skills in English
- Availability at least 20 hours per week
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or project experience in automotive engineering
- Familiarity with Simulink, plant modelling, or FMI/FMU-based simulation
- Comfort with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar)
- Ability to work with version control systems (e.g. Git)

Recruitment process:
- CV Review - Your application and CV will be reviewed to assess your qualifications and experience in relation to the role requirements
- Phone Interview (approximately 20 minutes) - This initial conversation is designed to discuss your background, expectations, and answer any preliminary questions
- Technical Interview(1h) - Conducted with the manager and an additional team member, this stage focuses on evaluating your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. The interview can be held via Teams or at our office
