Role Overview:

The IT Security Engineer plays a vital role in advising on security topics, implementing security solutions, and supporting sales and training efforts. The position involves leading workshops, managing projects, and contributing to the development of the security team, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of IT security.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience in network and network security
• Strong Unix/Linux knowledge
• Good network and VPN knowledge, including routing and debugging
• Proven experience in IT security and network technology
• Leadership experience in managing IT teams
• Excellent communication skills in German and English
• Self-motivated with strong autodidactic skills
• Willingness to travel and flexibility to work on-site

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consulting on security topics and concepts
• Manage projects with a focus on deadlines and technical support
• Implement technical security solutions
• Support sales efforts through corporate presentations
• Conduct workshops and certified training sessions locally and at customer sites
• Lead and develop team members
• Prepare and manage budgets
• Maintain ongoing learning to stay current with developments in security technology

Requirements:

• Hochschul-/FH-Studium or equivalent education and practical skills
• Several years of experience leading IT teams
• Excellent knowledge of network and cybersecurity
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux
• Strong understanding of routing, debugging, VPNs, and network mechanics
• Willingness to undertake travel (air, rail, or car)
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
• Authorization to work in the specified location
