Logistics Sourcing Specialist - EMEA (m/f/*)

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Logistics Sourcing Specialist for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leading the identification, qualification, negotiation, and execution of supplier contracts to ensure optimal service levels and cost efficiency.

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive mutual growth and success.

• Drive innovation and continuous improvement with logistics suppliers to enhance efficiency.

• Develop strategic plans for supply continuity and risk mitigation with sourcing leaders.

• Stay informed of market trends to adapt logistics strategies effectively.

• Lead project management efforts to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management, particularly within the logistics and transportation sector.

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

• Fluency in English both written and verbal is essential. Proficiency in German and/or French is preferred, as it will facilitate communication with regional stakeholders and suppliers.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities, coupled with financial acumen for effective budget management and negotiation.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, with expertise in risk management to ensure supply continuity.

• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, with a focus on sustainable logistics practices and integrating environmental and social responsibility into sourcing strategies.

Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.

• Track record of driving innovation and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics function.

• Deep understanding of the logistics and transportation industry, particularly ground transportation services, with familiarity with the EMEA region's market dynamics.

​Job specifics:

• Location - This position is based at the 3M EMEA Headquarters in Langenthal (BE), Switzerland.

• Travel Requirements: This role may require travel within Europe, up to 10% of the time.

• Relocation: Relocation is an individual choice, and associated costs and processes will not be supported by 3M.

• Work Environment: This is an office-based position, requiring at least 4 days per week on-site.

• Working Pattern: Full-time position
