At a glance
Your responsibilities
- scientific service in research in the area of optical clocks
- design, setup, test and integration of an atom interferometer with thermal atomic beams
- planning of an in-orbit demonstration mission with project partners
- implementation and characterization of an optical clock in the lab
- tasks for personal scientific qualification
What you bring to the table
What we expect from you
- completed university degree (PhD, if applicable) in physics or similar with very good knowledge in atomic physics and/or quantum optics
- experience in experimental work with optical clocks
- experience in operation of laser systems for atom spectroscopy
- experience in project management (ideally in context of space missions)
What would be desirable
- very good knowledge of English (min. B2)
- very good knowledge in programming and data analysis
