At a glance
Your responsibilities
- technical support in Molecular Parasitology
- cloning of genes and plasmids
- transfection of unicellular parasites
- infection of host cells and rodents
- determination of parasite density and immune response
- assistance with student practical courses
- training and support for students and guests in experimental procedures
- lab management (e.g., preparing solutions, orders in SAP, monitoring of autoclaves, emergency showers)
What you bring to the table
- completed training as a biological-technical assistant or equivalent skills and experience
- solid knowledge in molecular and cell biology
- willingness to work with pathogens and rodents
- experience with genetically modified material and in safety laboratories, as well as the relevant safety regulations
- good knowledge of German and English (at least B1)
- high degree of independence and personal responsibility, good time management and organizational skills, ability to work in a team
