Your mission
As a Platform Engineer – Data Science, you help shape and scale our infrastructure to support cutting-edge AI and ML applications. You ensure that our platforms are robust, scalable, and automated, and enjoy collaborating across teams to drive innovation.

• Maintain and enhance data science infrastructure for scalability and performance
• Manage deployments in Kubernetes with ArgoCD, focusing on automation and reliability
• Automate ML workflows using tools like Argo Workflows
• Deploy and optimize large-scale ML models (e.g., LLMs) with Ray, vLLM, or Triton
• Design and implement monitoring solutions with Grafana and Prometheus
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to improve MLOps workflows
• Continuously explore new technologies and contribute to team knowledge

Your skills and qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of experience in MLOps, ML engineering, or platform engineering
• Strong skills in Python and proficiency in at least one additional language (Java, Go, or TypeScript)
• Solid understanding of ML architectures (e.g., Transformers, CNNs, RNNs, encoder-decoder models) and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch), including the challenges of deploying them at scale (memory management, inference optimization, batching strategies, GPU utilization)
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Hands-on experience with ArgoCD for GitOps and CI/CD
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably Azure
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration (Argo Workflows) and distributed computing (Ray)
• Understanding of ML model deployment and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Experience working with AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools)
• Strong communication skills, proactive mindset, and eagerness to learn
• Very good English skills (written and spoken)

Compensation
We are legally obliged to mention the compensation for this position. We offer a minimum salary of € 60.000,- gross/ year (fulltime employment). We offer a higher salary in line with your qualifications and experience.
