We are delighted to be supporting a well-established operator, air charter and management service provider to source an Aviation Finance Manager on a permanent basis based in the Mediterranean.

This is a highly fulfilling role where the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, reporting, and analysis related to the aviation operations of the client. The role ensures accurate financial management and operational costs while supporting strategic decision-making within a highly regulated aviation and financial services environment.

The Aviation Finance Manager will work closely with operational teams, service providers, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure financial efficiency, transparency, and compliance with the local authority and international aviation regulations.

The Successful Candidate will be responsible for:

• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models for aviation operations.
• Analyse operational costs including fuel, maintenance, crew services, insurance, and airport charges.
• Provide financial insights to support decisions relating to fleet acquisitions, aircraft leasing, and financing arrangements.
• Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Monitor aircraft asset valuations, depreciation schedules, and lifecycle cost analysis.
• Review and analyse aircraft lease agreements, financing structures, and contractual obligations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to aviation operations and aircraft entities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Monitor aviation operational expenditure and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
• Identify cost efficiencies while maintaining operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
• Implement and maintain strong financial controls and reporting processes.

Minimum Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance, ideally within aviation, aircraft leasing, asset finance, or financial services.
• Experience working with aviation service providers.
• Strong financial modelling, analysis, and reporting capabilities.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to the aviation industry.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
