In order to support Air Power Engineering, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a
Software Developer / Architect for embedded real time software in Avionics (d/f/m) (d/f/m)
We develop software for airborne mission systems and applications.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain embedded avionics software for aerospace systems, also for combat air systems
Perform assessment of user requirements and support customer discussions
Develop AI and deep learning algorithms to improve system functionality, such as sensor data processing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, systems engineers, to ensure seamless integration of software solutions into avionics systems.
Ensure compliance with aviation industry standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254) and safety-critical software development practices.
Conduct testing, validation, and verification of software to meet aerospace requirements.
Conduct HW/SW integration in complex hybrid environments
Desired skills and qualifications
Master degree or Bachelor with 4+ years of specific experience in Design, develop, and maintain embedded avionics software for aerospace systems, also for combat air systems
Proven experience in embedded software development for avionics or aerospace applications
Strong proficiency in C/C++ and/or Ada and real-time operating systems (e.g., VxWorks)
Proven experience in working in defence programs with security classification
Experience with AI/ML frameworks and deep learning techniques
Familiarity with avionics standards (e.g., ARINC 653, DO-178C) and safety-critical software development
English fluent, German would be a plus
