Short role summary
In this position, you are responsible for system safety activities across the development lifecycle of military aircraft and systems, contributing directly to certification, airworthiness and safe system architectures.
Your tasks
Performing key safety assessments such as Functional Hazard Assessments and System Safety Assessments
Conducting risk analyses in accordance with applicable standards to support continuous aircraft development, including Permit to Fly and Type Certification
Executing common-cause analyses such as Particular Risk Analysis, Zonal Safety Analysis and Common Mode Analysis
Defining, managing and documenting safety requirements, safety evidence, procedures and operational limitations
Supporting and influencing aircraft and system architecture with regard to safety and integrity requirements
Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders including engineering, project management, design teams, airworthiness authorities, industrial partners, suppliers and customers
Reviewing, assessing and approving supplier safety and reliability data
Your profile
Completed master’s degree or diploma in aerospace engineering, physical sciences or a comparable discipline
Solid understanding of aircraft systems
At least two years of system engineering experience with interfaces to safety assessment, airworthiness or certification
Experience in system safety assessment is an advantage
Confident use of safety tools such as Isograph FaultTree+ or Reliability Workbench
Structured, meticulous and safety-oriented working style
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capability
Very good English language skills
German language skills are desirable
