In order to support Air Power Engineering, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a
Systems Engineer for Eurofighter Mission Data Ground Station (d/f/m)
We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join our interdisciplinary field of Ground Support Systems. We are an international Team within the Platform Operational Support domain. We are responsible for developing and maintaining modern ground support systems for the Tornado, A400M and Eurofighter platforms at the Manching site in Germany. Our products enable the operation, development and evaluation of mission data of aircraft in the context of electronic warfare, self-protection and sensor data fusion.
The job holder will become part of an agile team developing a state-of-the-art mission data validation environment for Eurofighter RADAR ESCAN operation, for international clients. The basis consists of a partial replica of the Eurofighter Avionics system, with "re-hosting" of the original aircraft software, in combination with software models.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Analysis mission data requirements and operational requirements for task-based management of the sensor
Define requirements for development and adaptation of simulated aircraft components and different submodules for mission data validation environment.
Integration of the "re-hosted" software in MaTE (Eurofighter modelling and test environment)
Support in design and development of the overall system, documentation and qualification of the system
Support of the project manager in the preparation of new technical offers
Collaboration with customers, in the team and in other areas of aircraft development
Desired skills and qualifications
University degree in technical domain, e.g. computer science, aeronautical engineering, or equivalent
Knowledge of systems/software engineering lifecycle and a minimum 3 years of experience on all phases of it
Knowledge of military avionics (i.e. Eurofighter) is required
Practical experience with re-hosting of embedded software is an advantage
Experience in the area of simulations and modelling is desired
Experience with MaTE is a plus
Understanding of tools for project control (Jira, Confluence), requirements management (IBM DOORS) and version control (Git) is recommended
Language skills: business fluent in English.
