The opportunity

We are looking for a master student to work as an intern (6 months) about HVDC System Reliability Analysis. As part of this work, the student will contribute towards the development of a simulation based framework for analyzing system reliability against operational stresses. The student will join our team of Grid Management and Optimization in Mannheim, Germany.

How you'll make an impact

• Literature review on HVDC system reliability.

• Identify relevant indicators and relate them to system behavior using appropriate modelling methods.

• Support system level reliability studies based on different operating scenarios.

• Documentation and presentation of results.

Your background

• Master Student, preferred (Electrical) Engineering, Informatics, Physics

• Organized, analytical and structured individual

• Good programming skills in Python​

• Knowledge of MATLAB is an advantage

• fluent English is required, German knowledge is a plus
