Program Content: Apprenticeship / Studies

If you are a high school graduate with a general university entrance qualification or a school leaver with a university of applied sciences entrance qualification, you have the opportunity to complete a dual study program with us. This means you combine your civil engineering degree program with an apprenticeship as a construction draftsman (m/f/d) and simultaneously acquire two full qualifications. The advantage for you is that, in addition to theoretical knowledge, you gain a wealth of practical experience that a traditional degree program cannot offer. Furthermore, you will receive an apprentice salary from us throughout the entire period.

You can expect a wide range of content. While the focus of your apprenticeship is primarily on practical knowledge, such as drawing with CAD programs, the degree program offers comprehensive theory across all areas. Core subjects include, for example, structural mechanics and statics, construction processes, structural design elements, surveying, as well as topics like building materials science and building physics. You are free to choose the university where you wish to pursue your studies. Typically, our students attend universities in Augsburg or Munich.

Duration and Structure

The dual study program lasts a total of 4.5 years and comprises one year of dedicated apprenticeship training plus 7 semesters of bachelor’s degree studies.
The program commences with the apprenticeship. For the first year, you will be fully integrated into our company while simultaneously attending vocational school. In the second year, your full-time university studies begin, and you will continue your apprenticeship solely during semester breaks.
During the remaining period (from the 3rd to 7th semester), you will continue your studies at the university and work at our company during the holiday months. A minor exception is the practical semester (typically in the 5th semester), which you will spend entirely with us. This provides you with the opportunity to gain deeper insight into the daily work of a civil engineer and to rotate through the relevant departments of our company.
