The Director of Strategic R&D Partnership act as the bridge between R&D teams and external innovation sources. Your mission is to keep the company ahead by identifying emerging technologies and fostering partnerships that turn ideas into real-world automotive advancements.

• Identify future technology trends and assess strategic fit.
• Build networks with leading startups, universities, and tech hubs.
• Lead collaboration projects and align stakeholders from R&D to executive level.
• Support the creation of long-term technology roadmaps.
• Organise expert talks, management visits, and strategy sessions.

Anforderungsprofil

Key requirements for the Director of Strategic R&D Partnership role :

• Master's or PhD in a technical field,
• Experience as Lead, Manager, Head of R&D in the automotive industry with a focus on EV cars, autonomous driving,
• Proven experience in mapping innovations, R&D partnerships, or tech strategy,
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (C-suite, academia, and partners)
• Technology Strategy : Experience creating and managing technology roadmaps, trend analysis & foresight methods, tech feasibility assessment.
• Fluent German and English, additional european languages is a nice to have.
• Willingness to travel (20%+ annually ; Germany, Europe and Global)
