We are currently seeking a Data Governance Manager (all genders) – Global Data Platform / Data Mesh for Mediaplus Germany.

Was dich bei uns erwartet:

• Development, alignment and implementation of data governance policies, standards and data product guidelines.
• Ensuring globally consistent governance requirements as well as GDPR compliance (Privacy by Design, DPIA, Retention, Consent).
• Translating strategic objectives into operational governance processes.
• Establishing and monitoring key data quality KPIs and defining SLAs, quality gates and validation mechanisms.
• Collaboration with domain teams, Legal, InfoSec and markets to ensure high data quality and fulfilment of regulatory requirements.
• Building and maintaining a sustainable and auditable compliance framework.
• Establishing a federated governance model (Domain Ownership, Data Stewardship, Data Contracts).
• Coaching and enabling international domain teams and moderating global governance boards.
• Building and maintaining the data catalog, business glossary and consistent metadata models.
• Defining taxonomies, naming conventions, documentation standards and data lineage.
• Implementing and maintaining data classification models (Public, Confidential, Restricted) and role/access concepts (RBAC/ABAC).
• Conducting regular reviews and audits.
• Creating and delivering trainings, playbooks and enablement formats.
• Fostering a data‑as‑a‑product culture and an active global community.
• Supporting the organisation in change management.
• Further developing the governance roadmap, identifying process and tool improvements, and managing the reporting and monitoring of relevant governance metrics.

Was wir von dir erwarten:

• Several years of experience in data governance on global data platforms.
• Ability to translate strategic governance goals into actionable policies and processes.
• Experience collaborating with international business, data and tech stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Data Mesh principles (Domain Ownership, Data Products, Self‑Service, Federated Governance).
• Experience in establishing decentralized ownership and accountability structures.
• Proficient in GDPR and relevant security/compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of data catalog/glossary solutions, data quality frameworks and lineage tools.
• Understanding of modern cloud and data architectures (ideally Azure).
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD for data, data modeling and access management concepts.
• Strong facilitation skills for global committees and communities, and confident coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent English skills; German is a plus
