To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Design Engineer 3D, Customer Interface (BMW) (m/f/d) in our plant in München.

• Responsible for the geometric development of the wiring harness in a defined vehicle area, ensuring compliance with customer and YAZAKI requirements regarding functionality, safety, manufacturing, quality, cost optimization, and timing.
• Create CAD design of the agreed geometry using the customer-specified CAD tool, taking into account environmental constraints and data quality requirements.
• Conduct virtual investigations and participate in prototype setups.
• Implement requirements from electrical logic and EMC, such as circuit diagrams and modularization.
• Provide technical guidance for a design team within a defined vehicle area.
• Coordinate design activities with the customer development team and all relevant departments on the customer side.
• Create the necessary documents for change documentation, implement changes in the relevant customer systems, and support their product implementation.
• Create working and presentation documents for internal and external use based on customer and/or YAZAKI requirements and participate in project meetings (online and in person).
• Participate in product analysis and improvement activities at YAZAKI and customer manufacturing sites, such as cubings, production launches and EPSO.

• University degree in Electric/Electronics, Electrical- or Mechanical Engineering, Wiring system development, or similar eduction
• 1-3 years professional experience
• Working experience with 3D-Design-System (CATIA V5 or similar)
• Experience in E/E Automotive area
• Basic knowledge of project management skills and IATF quality standards
• Fluent in German and good English skills (written and spoken)
• Advanced MS Office skills
