IRUBIS is a young, growing biotechnology start-up specializing in monitoring and control of bioprocesses. We are building a state-of-the-art system, Monipa, to provide our biopharma customers with information about their bioprocesses in the lab, in the office, at home, and at any time. Currently, we are seeking an Engineer in order to bring our Monipa to new heights. Apply to IRUBIS and be part of a great team that aims to revolutionize the way biopharmaceuticals are produced!
Tasks
- Assemble optical and electro-mechanical devices and subassemblies following work instructions, drawings, and BOMs
- Develop and apply performance and assembly tests
- Execute incoming inspection and final functional testing; document results and deviations Cleary
- Troubleshoot assembly and test issues (mechanical, optical, electrical) and propose practical fixes with the team
- Maintain accurate GMP / ISO 9001:2015 documentation (build records, test reports, traceability, change notes)
- Improve manufacturing operations: improve assembly steps, improve work instructions, and standardize processes
- Coordinate supply chain and technical procurement
- Coordinate and track required parts (CNC parts, purchased components), report shortages, and ensure correct revisions are used
- Support occasional prototype builds and development projects (SLA and FDM 3D printing, milling, etc.)
Requirements
- Technical education (MSc) in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, medical technology, electronics, optics, or similar
- Strong hands-on experience assembling precision devices
- Comfortable reading mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and BOMs; careful, structured working style
- Experience working in regulated environments (GMP / ISO 9001 / ISO 13485) or strong willingness to learn documentation discipline
- CAD familiarity (e.g., SolidWorks)
- English and German proficiency
