TYTAN is a young deep-tech defense startup that develops a cost-effective counter-drone solution to protect people and critical infrastructure. We are an international team of ambitious engineers who combine expertise in autonomous systems and UAV design.
We are seeking a driven and hands-on Electronics Engineer to join our fast-growing drone development team. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is passionate about electronics, eager to develop high-quality PCBAs, and excited to contribute to cutting-edge UAV systems. As a key player in our interdisciplinary engineering team, you will work at the intersection of hardware and embedded systems to help bring our UAVs from prototype to production.
Your roadmap to make an impact
- Design and develop printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for UAV platforms, including schematics and layout.
- Support rapid prototyping and iteration cycles by assembling, testing, and debugging electronic systems in the lab.
- Collaborate closely with embedded software engineers to ensure seamless hardware/software integration.
- Maintain and improve our component library and hardware development documentation.
- Participate in hardware reviews and contribute to design decisions with a focus on robustness, manufacturability, and EMI mitigation.
- Interface with manufacturing partners to support DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and bring designs into series production.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in electronics development, especially in schematic capture and PCB layout (e.g., using Altium Designer or KiCad).
- Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power management, and embedded systems.
- Working knowledge of EWIS (Electrical Wiring InterConnect System / Electrical Wiring InterConnection System
- Practical experience with radio/data link modules and wireless communication systems.
- Basic experience in embedded programming (e.g., C or C++) is a plus.
- Familiarity with lab equipment for hardware testing (oscilloscopes, multimeters).
- A structured and pragmatic problem solver with a hands-on mindset.
- Passion for drones, robotics, and innovative hardware systems.
- Excitement for working in a fast-paced startup environment where your contribution makes a direct impact.
- Willingness to learn, take ownership, and grow within a collaborative engineering culture.
- Eager to work closely with a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, software, and flight testing engineers.
- Fluent in English, German is beneficial
