In this role, you will take responsibility for the execution of highly specialized cryogenic plant projects — from the liquefaction of helium and hydrogen to large-scale cooling systems operating at temperatures down to 1.5 Kelvin.

As Head of Cryogenic Plant Projects, you will oversee a team of experienced project managers and engineers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll play a central role in shaping the strategic and operational success of a world-leading technology company in the field of cryogenics.

• Lead the Project Execution department with approximately ten engineers and project managers.
• Take full responsibility for planning, implementing, and controlling complex international projects — from design through commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual, technical, and financial requirements, as well as quality and safety standards.
• Manage claim and contract topics in close cooperation with legal and contract management teams.
• Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to support large-scale project bids with your project management expertise.
• Drive continuous improvement and capacity planning for project execution and engineering departments.
• Mentor and develop your team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability.

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Plant Engineering (or equivalent).
• Several years of proven experience in managing large-scale industrial projects, ideally in cryogenics, gas liquefaction, or thermodynamic systems.
• Strong leadership background, preferably with prior executive or management team exposure.
• Solid understanding of contract and claim management within an international engineering environment.
• Fluent in English and German, both technically and commercially.
• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on implementation skills.
