THE TEAM AND ROLES
As an Intern AI Automation Engineer (all genders) , you help to accelerate and scale Avelios’ Agents & Automation agenda by delivering robust, maintainable automations and AI-enabled workflows across teams. The purpose is to free up measurable internal capacity, reduce operational errors, and improve transparency and cycle times by deploying AI agents that transform repetitive manual processes into well-governed automated systems.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Build & Own High-Impact Automations: Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end automations and AI workflows for priority use cases across departments.
Technical Foundation & Maintainability: Establish reusable patterns and components (standard modules, payload reduction, token/context safety, retries/backoff, monitoring/logging, versioning) to ensure reliability and scalable maintenance.
Data & Integration Engineering: Implement robust integrations across core systems, including authentication, data validation, and structured outputs suitable for downstream systems.
Quality, Risk & Governance: Define and enforce guardrails, introduce testing/rollout practices, and document "how to change / how to debug” so workflows can be safely extended.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with domain owners to refine requirements, translate business problems into technical workflows, validate impact assumptions, and support adoption through clear documentation and enablement.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuing Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent practical experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Physics, Maths, Statistics, or similar
Hands-on experience in software engineering and automation, internal tooling, or process optimization ; experience translating business processes into automated workflows
Strong hands-on experience with automation platforms (Make, Zapier, n8n or similar); basic API understanding (REST, webhooks); data handling (JSON, mappings); confident use of AI/LLMs
Strong ownership mindset; structured and analytical thinking; ability to prioritize by business impact; clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to document systems and decisions clearly; experience building scalable internal standards and governance
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
