About this position
allO wouldn’t be a start-up high-growth leader without its innovative and customer-centric approach. To further strengthen this we are seeking a highly motivated, full-time Solutions Engineer for our Tech team who combines a technical background as well as passion for innovative tech products and topics such as AI with the flexibility to provide first-class tech support and communication to our gastronomy customers. In this position you will play a key role in ensuring our customers’ satisfaction and success by acting as the first line of support and trusted partner for our customers while creating and implementing custom technical solutions such as the development of an own allO AI support system. Being one of our first Solution Engineers, this is a very unique opportunity in an ambitious Tech team to combine customer-facing support work with hands-on work on exciting and innovative technical solutions and projects, shaping the future of how restaurants interact with technology.
Your Responsibilities | What you will do
- You will gain extensive, in-depth knowledge about our products and services and become an expert with excellent technical product know-how within a short space of time
- One part of your role will be to act as the first line of support and trusted partner for our customers making sure that customer requests and issues are surfaced, tracked, and resolved with care and urgency, creating an outstanding support experience for our customers and securing their success. This mainly includes: - Providing live support and communication to our customers via different channels, building and maintaining strong relationships
- Guiding customers through solutions step by step and patiently while communicating even complex solutions and features in a very clear and easy-to-understand manner
- Handling real-time troubleshooting and delivering prompt, accurate and profound assistance and execution for multifaceted technical customer requests
- Identifying customer problems, gathering context and flagging trends and recurring pain points to the broader team
- If necessary, assigning requests to responsible internal experts and ensuring all assigned tasks are acknowledged, executed by the due date, and regularly updated in status
- You will help continuously improve our customer support, workflows and products by gathering and investigating customer feedback, surfacing common problems or repeated customer confusion areas, logging frequently asked questions and complaints, sharing firsthand insights, and actively contributing to feedback loops
- As a member of our ambitious Tech team, the other part of your role will be to work on technical topics as well as the ideation, creation, implementation and improvement of custom technical solutions for our customers, partners and internal stakeholders. This includes: - Hands-on work on different technical tasks and topics together with your Tech colleagues, according to your specific skills and technical know-how and allO’s business needs
- Working side by side with customers, partners and internal stakeholders to develop, implement and improve various valuable technical solutions, including debugging, troubleshooting and quality assurance of our product
- Taking ownership and contributing to exciting and innovative technical projects, such as automation projects and the development, implementation and constant training of an own allO AI Support Agent from scratch considering the experiences, insights and learnings gained during support shifts and through customer feedback
- Acting as a technical consultant for internal and external stakeholders including the continuous identification of trends, opportunities and relevant technical solutions
- Over time and with the increase and maturing of automation processes and our own allO AI Support Agent you will spend less time in support and your focus will shift even more towards the work on technical solutions and topics together with your Tech colleagues
- In your role you will constantly collaborate very closely with Onboarding, Account Management, Operations, Product, Engineers, Designers and other relevant teams to create and realize valuable technical solutions and provide timely, clear and first-class support and communication to all our customers Your Profile | What you should bring
- University degree or vocational training in the area of computer science, software development, (business) informatics, technology management, engineering, physics, maths or a related field
- Proactive, hands-on and can-do mentality paired with strong solution-oriented thinking and problem solving skills
- Passion for providing great technical support and working on innovative technical solutions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate even complex solutions and features in a simple, patient and friendly manner
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple topics, prioritize tasks, work cross-functionally and react to new situations quickly
- Tech-savviness, strong technical curiosity and affinity for innovative technologies and trends such as AI (ideally initial practical experience and skills in AI prompt engineering and applied automation)
- Comfortable taking ownership, executing time-sensitive tasks, driving results and interacting with internal as well as external stakeholders
- Flexibility, willingness and ability to perform shift-work for the support part of this role, which might include evening and weekend shifts sometimes
- Residency in Germany
- Native or excellent German language skills along with business proficiency in English; any additional language is a very big plus (especially Chinese, Hindi and Vietnamese)
