The School of Life Sciences (LS), Technical University of Munich in Weihenstephan (Freising), is looking for a part-time (min 50%) to full (100%) Lab Manager/Technical Assistant (m/f/d) position for the professorships "Organoid Systems and Biointerfaces”.
Your area of responsibility:
This varied role includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
• Organization and maintenance of laboratory spaces
• Management of inventory, including ordering of consumables and supplies
• Coordination of equipment maintenance and servicing
• Ensuring compliance with safety and laboratory regulations
• Support of general lab workflows and day-to-day operations
• Assistance with basic experimental tasks (e.g., cell culture, if applicable)
This position plays a key role in maintaining an efficient, well-organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
Your requirements:
• Completed training in a laboratory-related field (e.g., biology, biotechnology, chemistry) or comparable qualification
• Basic knowledge of laboratory organization, inventory management, and equipment handling
• Very good command of English; knowledge of German is an advantage
• Willingness to learn new techniques, tools, and processes
• Strong organizational skills and a structured, reliable working style
• Friendly, proactive attitude with good communication skills and a high level of responsibility
• Prior experience in cell culture is desirable.
