The Opportunity
We are looking for a skilled Launcher Assembly Technician to join our Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) team, responsible for the final assembly of launch vehicles . You will work in a highly collaborative, multinational team, contributing to the delivery of flight-ready hardware from initial structure assembly through to final acceptance testing.
The team is divided across Structures (carbon fibre), Fluids, and Avionics , and requires individuals who are adaptable and comfortable working across changing project demands.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-precision assembly of advanced space hardware
Machine and work with carbon fibre composite structures
Conduct electrical and mechanical testing of systems and components
Carry out component-level and full assembly validation
Maintain strict cleanliness standards to protect hardware integrity
Produce clear and accurate technical documentation
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Support test setup and execution activities
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Your Profile
Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic or similar (production or maintenance engineering)
Several years of experience in aviation and/or aerospace
Knowledge of gas/fluid systems and bolting techniques
Strong ability to read technical drawings with good spatial awareness
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work effectively under pressure and within a team
Flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements
Willingness to travel internationally for short periods (up to 2 weeks, with 4 weeks’ notice)
Good working knowledge of standard computer applications
High standard of written and spoken English
Working Environment
Small, agile team of approximately 12 people
Hands-on role across assembly, integration, and testing
Collaboration with engineering and integrated testing teams
Occasional travel for on-site assembly activities
