Based in our Munich or Frankfurt office the Marketing & Business Development Assistant will be responsible for supporting the business development and brand visibility efforts in Germany. This role will be an integral part of the German team, working closely with the global team members, and will assist on the full spectrum of initiatives including pitches, legal directory submissions, client events, conferences, and marketing content.
This role reports to the Sr. Business Development and Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with the development and maintenance of collateral materials, such as practice group descriptions, and attorney biographies.
- Assist in the creation and formatting of marketing pitches and proposal materials, ensuring content accuracy and consistency, in both German and English.
- Assist with logistical and administrative support for firm-hosted events, including client receptions, seminars, and webinars.
- Assist with research, tracking and reporting using tools such as client relationship management tools and databases.
- Assist with various legal directories including Juve, Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, and other directory and award submissions.
- Assist with content creation for the LinkedIn Germany page.
- Other special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, in German and English.
- Strong orientation towards customer service and professional interpersonal skills, working with client and staff at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and autonomously.
- Strong time management skills and a sense of urgency to requests, including the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines.
- High attention to detail.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required in marketing, business, international management or similar fields of study.
- Preferred practical experience in marketing/business development in a law firm or other professional services firms, through internship or as working student for minimum of one year, or commercial training.
- Ideally experience with client relationship management systems.
