Do you want to actively shape the digital transformation with us?

Your Task:

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the sensor strategy of our next-generation IoT products. Your master thesis will focus on identifying market-leading sensor technologies, understanding industry trends, and evaluating technical performance to drive informed decisions on sensor selection for our product portfolio. The final thesis selection is made in close consultation with you, the university and us.
  • Design a robust methodology to analyze the global sensor market (esp., temperature, shock, humidity, light) combining desk research, expert interviews, and supplier evaluation
  • Research current and emerging sensor technologies relevant to asset tracking and IoT applications, including key performance metrics and market trends
  • Screen and evaluate potential sensor suppliers, including technical capabilities, innovation pipeline, supply security, and commercial fit
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to translate market insights into clear sensor requirements and decision criteria
  • Where feasible, participate in or support basic lab tests to validate sensor performance under real-world conditions (with engineering support)
  • Deliver a structured assessment and clear recommendations for the most suitable sensor technologies and suppliers for our future IoT product roadmap

Your Qualification:

  • Advanced studies in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or comparable technical/management field
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking skills
  • Interest in sensor technology, IoT products, and supply chain applications
  • Good communication skills in English (German beneficial)
  • Self-driven mindset and curiosity to explore technical trends and markets
