Postdoctoral Researcher Position Available – Organoid Systems and Biointerfaces
The Chair of Organoid Systems and Biointerfaces, led by Prof. Dr. Ana Mora-Boza at the School of Life Sciences, Technical University of Munich (TUM), is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher (TV-L E13, full-time) to join an interdisciplinary research program focused on organoid systems, microphysiological platforms, and stem cell biology to evaluate sex differences in chronic inflammatory diseases related.

Your mission:
• Lead independent research projects focused on human stem cell-derived organoid systems.
• Establish, culture, and maintain organoid models and perform functional assays to investigate their biological responses.
• Develop co-culture platforms integrating organoids with patient-derived immune cells (i.e. immuno-competent platforms).
• Apply advanced molecular and cellular biology techniques, flow cytometry, transcriptomics, and proteomics, for comprehensive cellular characterization.
• Mentor and supervise graduate and undergraduate students, providing guidance in experimental design and laboratory techniques.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary collaborations across biomaterials, microengineering, and stem cell biology.
• Disseminate research findings through peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and scientific workshops. -
Qualifikationen:
Qualifications:
• Doctorate in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biomedicine, or a related field.
• Strong experience with organoid systems, stem cell biology, and advanced cell culture techniques.
• Experience with molecular biology methods and flow cytometry; experience in induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) culture is highly desirable. Immunology or bioinformatic experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead research lines independently, mentor students, and coordinate laboratory projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary and multicultural research environment.
• Strong scientific curiosity, motivation, resilience, and commitment to research excellence. -
