Senior Electrical Systems Compliance Engineer

iO Associates are working with a technology company developing complex electrically powered platforms. They are looking for a Senior Electrical Systems Compliance Engineer to support the verification, integration, and regulatory alignment of electrical and electronic systems used in a highly regulated environment. The role focuses on ensuring that all equipment and installations meet electromagnetic, safety, and performance requirements throughout development.

Please note that candidates must be eligible to work in Germany on a freelance basis.

Location: Munich

Length: 12 Months+
Hourly Rate: €90-€120

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and refinement of electrical system concepts, with a focus on electromagnetic behaviour and regulatory alignment.
• Support design teams in implementing grounding, bonding, shielding, and interference‑control practices.
• Assist with system‑level integration of electrical and electronic equipment across the platform.
• Participate in assessments related to electrical safety, system immunity, and protection strategies.
• Help define and interpret compliance requirements for electromagnetic performance and environmental exposure.
• Take part in planning and coordinating test activities with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies.
• Review analysis, documentation, and evidence packages prepared for approval processes.

Your Profile

• Degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering , or a related technical field.
• Professional experience working with electromagnetic behaviour, electrical compliance, or system‑level protection concepts.
• Familiarity with development processes i n regulated or safety‑critical industries.
• Understanding of systems engineering principles and multidisciplinary integration.
• Exposure to standards related to electromagnetic performance or environmental qualification.
• Experience with high‑voltage or advanced electrical systems is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills in English
