10-15h / week | temporary (12 month) | Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy

The Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at TUM Klinikum Rechts der Isar is performing cutting-edge research in the fields of neuroimmunology, neuropsychiatry, and neurodegeneration. In particular, we focus on translational research with expertise in basic science and access to clinical cohorts. We are coordinating a research project to investigate the neuroimmunological mechanisms in health and disease by performing an in-depth, high-dimensional single-cell analysis using multicolor flow cytometry and transcriptomics. This project is supervised by Prof. Josef Priller, and Dr. Shima Safaiyan. We are looking for highly motivated and talented candidates with academic background in Biology, Medicine, or Immunology.

Your responsibilities:
- Isolating peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from human blood.
- Preparing and staining the immune cells for flow cytometric analysis.
- Regularly working on a Saturday is a requirement of this role.

Your profile:
- Undergraduate/graduate student in the relevant fields (Biology, Medicine, Biomedical science,..).
- Laboratory experience is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
