Description We are currently looking for a HiWi to support us with the TUM Project Week Applied Surgineering. As part of this seminar, students will visit surgeries at the TUM Klinikum Rechts der Isar to identify friction points in clinical procedures during surgery and work to develop prototypical technical solutions to real problems. You will help us to prepare the material and slides for the students, be available as a contact for students, provide support for the students during the realization of the Project Week, as well as support the involved institutions. You’ll get the chance to gain insights into medical and technical research, accompany surgeries in the operating room, and work in an interdisciplinary environment to help teach the next generation of young researchers. Your contract will last from 01.09.2025 to 31.12.2025 and comprise 20 hours a week. Your work will be split between the TUM Klinikum, the involved chairs, and remote work. The project week itself will take place at the TUM Klinikum in late November. Requirements Studying a Master’s Program in a technical or medical field at TUM, the ability for self-organized work, willingness to familiarize yourself with multidisciplinary topics, basic knowledge of robotics and programming, and a good command of the English language are pivotal for this role. Experience with medical technology & robots, prior experience with teaching or tutoring, and fluency in German are desirable but not necessary.
