About the Daedalus Python Workshops
For several years now, the Daedalus Python project has been offering hands-on workshops where interested students can learn everything they need to know to implement their own projects and get creative with Python. Python is the basis for many final theses and lectures at the LDV and has become an integral part of everyday university life.
Our workshops begin with the basics, starting from installing and setting up Python, and gradually introduce more advanced concepts. Participants will not only learn the fundamentals of the language but also dive into advanced topics using powerful Python libraries. These include tools for solving complex problems, such as machine learning.

Here, we'll need your help! If you're experienced with Python and would like to pass on your knowledge to others as a tutor in your own workshops, contact us. You can expect a team of experienced tutors to support you in the workshops and plenty of freedom for your own ideas.

Your Responsibilities
- Update and improve existing workshop materials
- Expand the workshop curriculum with new topics that interest you or reflect current trends
- Prepare and promote the workshops to attract students
- Run the workshops (4 sessions; 2-4h sessions; approx. 60 participants) together with another tutor
- Provide support and guidance to workshop participants

Requirements
- Expert knowledge of Python
- Experience with key Python libraries, such as Numpy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn
- Motivation to teach other students
- Fluent in English

We offer
- A paid tutor position covering both workshop time and preparation
- Flexibility to introduce your own ideas and shape the workshop content
- The chance to be part of a collaborative team, including tutors for 3D printing and Arduino workshops

Interested in joining the Python team? Send us a brief email describing your Python skills and teaching experience, and attach your CV.

You can find more information on the workshop contents here .
