BI Data Analyst – Power BI

We are looking for a Data Analyst with solid experience in Power BI to join a structured and data-driven environment operating in retail / digital / luxury contexts.

The role is fully focused on the Power BI layer: the candidate will work on reporting, dashboards, and data modeling in Power BI, leveraging an existing semantic layer built on a Tabular cube (SSAS Tabular). The role does not include Data Engineering or ETL activities.

The focus is entirely on the Power BI reporting layer, working on top of an existing Tabular model.

Tasks

Role Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements together with Product Owner and translate them into effective reporting solutions
• Design, develop, publish and manage reports using Power BI Desktop
• Work on data modeling within Power BI, leveraging an existing SSAS Tabular cube as semantic layer
• Develop DAX measures and calculated logic within the Power BI model
• Ensure consistency between business KPIs and the semantic layer definitions
• Optimize report and dataset performance. Validate data against the source cube and ensure accuracy
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support data interpretation and KPI analysis

Requirements

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Power BI Desktop and Report Builder. Experience publishing and managing reports on Power BI Server
• Solid knowledge of DAX
• Experience working with SSAS Tabular models (semantic layer)
• Good understanding of Tabular (SSAS) cubes
• Strong SQL knowledge (for validation and analysis purposes)
• SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) – Tabular
• Power BI Report Server administration/configuration is a plus

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical mindset
• Attention to detail and data accuracy
• Ability to work independently
• Clear communication skills with business stakeholders

Language Requirement

• Excellent English (spoken and written) is mandatory
• Fluent Italian
