About the Role

As a Junior Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in the production of radiopharmaceutical products within a highly regulated Life Sciences environment. You will work in a unique and specialized manufacturing process that combines advanced technology, chemistry, and radiation safety.

The Junior Manufacturing Technician contributes to the manufacturing of radiopharmaceutical products according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and Batch Manufacturing Records, in full compliance with the company’s quality system.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Manufacturing

• Prepare and execute pharmaceutical production processes by operating equipment and performing manual tasks
• Execute chemical processes such as electrolysis and chromatography
• Prepare chromatography columns and recycle line processes, including target ampoule preparation
• Clear, clean, and maintain production lines and equipment
• Identify deviations, incidents, or abnormalities and escalate to the Production Shift Lead
• Perform first-line troubleshooting
• Keep training records up to date and, where applicable, act as a trainer for colleagues

Radiation Safety

• Ensure a safe working environment when handling radioactive materials
• Ensure finished products are free from radioactive contamination

Compliance & Quality

• Maintain accurate batch documentation
• Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with GMP, GDocP, and internal standards

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process improvement
• Participate in project teams to optimize production processes

Ideal Candidate Profile

• MBO or HBO degree in Engineering, Biology, Medical Laboratory Research, Chemical Analysis, or similar
• MTS, MLO, or VAPRO A/B certification
• Able and willing to learn new things as an operator
• A steady hand and good depth perception
• Knowledge of a pharmaceutical or controlled production environment
• TMS-VRS Level D certificate (Supervisory Radiation Protection – Dispersible Radioactive Substances)
• If not obtained at the start of employment, this certification must be achieved within the first year (external course fully funded by the employer)

• Experience in production and/or GMP environments is a strong plus
• TMS-D certification is a plus
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
