We are looking for a Safety & CE Engineer (m/f/d) for our location in Neutraubling (near Regensburg).
That's what you like to do:
- Monitoring and ensuring the conformity of our products and manufacturing processes
- Performing, supporting, and documenting risk assessments in accordance with EN ISO 12100
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation (e.g., EC declaration of conformity, risk assessment, safety certificates)
- Developing safety concepts for autonomous and stationary machines
- Mechanical, electrical, and functional safety (EN ISO 13849, IEC 62061)
- Taking into account motion safety, laser scanners, sensor technology, and navigation
- Creating and evaluating safety functions (performance level/SIL calculation)
- End-to-end support for the CE conformity process across the relevant departments for new product developments and further developments
- Carrying out CE conformity assessments in accordance with the Machinery Directive or Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230
- Consulting and training of development departments in standards, guidelines, and safety processes
- Close cooperation with suppliers and external testing institutions (e.g., TÜV, BG, certification bodies)
- Coordination and follow-up of safety-related topics and tasks
- Monitoring and implementation of current developments in EU law (Machinery Regulation, AI Regulation, Radio Directive)
That makes you stand out:
- Completed technical degree (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or comparable)
- Several years of experience in the field of machine safety, functional safety, and CE conformity

In-depth knowledge of the relevant standards:
- EN ISO 12100 (risk assessment)
- EN ISO 13849 / IEC 62061 (functional safety)
- EN 1175, EN ISO 3691-4 (safety of driverless vehicles and industrial trucks)
- Optional: knowledge of ISO 10218 / ISO 3691-4 / IEC 61496 (sensor technology) - Experience in using tools such as SISTEMA, Safexpert, DOCUFY Machine Safety
- Understanding of control and software architectures in autonomous systems
- Good knowledge of EU conformity assessment procedures and technical documentation
- Knowledge of safety analyses (FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, hazard and risk analyses, etc.)
- Structured, team-oriented, and analytical approach to work
- High sense of responsibility and strong social skills
- Keeping a clear head in critical situations and problem-solving skills are among your strengths
