The Project Manager is accountable for the performance of assigned projects on the Norderstedt site, leading projects thru our standard Project management standards FPX (Flawless Project Execution) and IDEA (ideation, definition, execution and assessment phases). The major activities of the project manager are: driving innovation to ensure safety and appropriate quality, translate the need of our internal clients in a technical solution, utilizing learning adoption internally and externally, coordinate and align a team of internal and external project members, ensure that our standards and agency regulations are followed.

The best candidate for this role has experience of leading end to end capital projects. They have good communication skills and knowledge of process engineering, HVAC and E&I. Knowledge of medical devices is preferable. You are eager to learn continuously and like to work with many colleagues and partners across other functional areas who are involved in your projects. Making good relationships and align team members is something that gives you energy.

Key responsibilities

Project Planning: Develop project plans, defining scope, objectives, resources, and timelines.

Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, facilitating collaboration and communication among team members.

Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to financial constraints.

Risk Management: Identify project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.

Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing project updates and managing expectations.

Quality Assurance: Ensure engineering deliverables meet all quality and regulatory standards.

Performance Tracking: Monitor project progress, analyzing performance metrics, and making adjustments as necessary.

Reporting: Prepare detailed project reports for both stakeholders and upper management.

Qualification, Skills & Knowledge

Education: Master degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in project management in the engineering and construction sectors.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and engineering design tools. Knowledge of Project Controls in cost and schedule development, financial assessments and managing of budget and schedule

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges. Understands business needs and can translate these to engineering concepts
