Paessler has recently opened a new position for a Team Manager - Billing Operations, responsible for leading the team in charge of invoice payment collection and ensuring a payment rate at the highest.
This role plays a critical part in Paessler’s financial health and customer experience, combining people leadership, operational oversight, and direct communication with customers and partners regarding overdue invoices.
YOUR TASKS
- Lead, coach, and develop the Billing Operations team, ensuring high performance and engagement
- Oversee and continuously improve the collection of overdue invoices
- Ensure a payment collection rate above 98%, minimizing outstanding balances
- Manage and escalate complex collection cases involving customers and partners
- Set clear goals, priorities, and performance metrics for the team
- Ensure professional, solution-oriented communication with customers and partners
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Sales, Renewals, and Customer Success teams
- Analyze billing and payment data to identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Ensure accurate documentation and data maintenance in internal systems (ERP / CRM)
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and collection success
YOUR PROFILE
- Proven experience leading teams in Billing, Finance Operations, Accounts Receivable, or Credit Control
- Strong background in invoice collection and overdue payment management
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and maintain high payment collection rates
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to handle firm but professional conversations with customers and partners
- Experience working with billing systems, CRM, and/or ERP tools
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and sense of ownership
