ABOUT THE JOB
Purchasing Manager (m/f/d)
What's in store for you?
- Coordination of the purchasing department
- Active involvement in day-to-day business
- Planning and controlling the development of material costs
- Procurement market research, procurement management
- Design of the purchasing strategy (number of suppliers, awarding strategies)
- Support for all locations with the aim of bundling purchasing activities
- Standardization (unification) for volume bundling
- Influencing technology decisions from a cost perspective
- Supplier evaluation and development
- Negotiating prices and payment terms with suppliers
- Conclusion of framework agreements to ensure delivery capability
- Escalation management
- Bottleneck control to maintain production lines and customer supply
What should you bring with you?
- Degree in industrial engineering, business administration, production engineering or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in operational and strategic purchasing and in setting up purchasing processes
- Independent working style combined with a high level of judgment, assertiveness and communication skills and professional leadership competence
- Experience in managing teams and in target and personnel development
- Strong negotiating skills, strong communication skills combined with assertiveness and a confident demeanor
- Sound technical understanding and knowledge of metal procurement
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
