Job description
- You will independently handle and coordinate imports from China, Vietnam and Indonesia in the area of furniture and household goods
- You will be in regular contact with internationally active suppliers and shipping companies and manage both communication and negotiations
- You will use your overview of the entire supply chain, from ordering to delivery to our customers, to ensure smooth processes
- The careful checking and administration of import and customs documents such as freight documents, certificates and certificates of origin fall within your area of responsibility
- You actively contribute your support to product range design and product development
- You handle complaints independently and are jointly responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance measures
- You ensure compliance with and documentation of legal reporting obligations (e.g. ElektroG, VerpackG, EUDR)
- You will familiarise yourself thoroughly with the analysis of sales data and market trends and contribute to evaluations
- In the event of deputisation, you will take over the tasks of the purchasing manager and thus ensure continuity in the team
Requirements
- You have completed a commercial apprenticeship - for example as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant (m/f/d), industrial clerk (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification
- You ideally already have professional experience in purchasing, import or wholesale
- Ideally, you are confident in using MS Office and your knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage
- You have very good written and spoken German and English skills
- Organisational skills, initiative and team spirit are among your personal strengths
