Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to customers based on the standards of the hotel and their preferences.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to customers based on the standards of the hotel and their preferences;
- Keep the bar area clean and well-stocked;
- Manage inventory, order supplies, monitor stock levels, and maintain equipment;
- Responsible for creating and testing new drink recipes to keep the menu interesting;
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations;
- Be able to handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively and efficiently;
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Candidate Profile:
- School Certificate or equivalent;
- A NC Level 3 in Restaurant & Bar Services from Mauritius Institute of Training and Development or equivalent;
- Previous professional experience in related function;
- Good communication and organisational skills;
- Should possess a pleasant and outgoing personality;
- Able and willing to perform odd hours of work including Sundays, public holidays and cyclonic days;
- Fluent in written and spoken English and French;
- Knowledge of a third language will be an advantage.
