What will you do?

As a Technical Support Employee at Alfen, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and streamlining our field operations and support processes, specifically focused on EV Charging Equipment (EVCE) . Your responsibilities include coordinating service activities, offering first-line technical support, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with technicians, clients, and internal teams to ensure a smooth and efficient service experience.

Your contributions will directly support Alfen's mission to accelerate the energy transition through innovative and reliable EV charging solutions.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Handling and documenting incoming service tickets and technical inquiries from customers, end-users, and field technicians.

  • Providing remote (phone/email) technical support, and when necessary, coordinating service visits with a tailored action plan.

  • Supporting field technicians in both domestic and international locations.

  • Verifying completed work administratively and assisting with billing and invoicing processes.

  • Evaluating warranty claims in combination with root cause analysis and preparing billing advice.

  • Categorizing service orders for reporting purposes and translating incidents into structural product issues.

  • Drafting root cause analysis reports and submitting data-driven product or process improvement suggestions.

  • Coordinating with technicians and service coordinators regarding on-site activities.

  • Engaging with customers, partners, and field service providers as needed.

  • Collaborating with fellow Technical Support Engineers to share knowledge and define best practices.

  • Supervising junior team members or interns.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a skilled technical support professional with a proactive, hands-on approach. Someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and communicates effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. You bring structure, ownership, and an eagerness to support the growing demand for EV charging infrastructure. You have:

  • Completed training in an electrical engineering profession

  • Relevant professional experience in the field of electromobility.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in German (B2 level) and English.

  • The ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative mindset.
